Be intrigued @ Bethnal Green Station
Each tube station has a particularity - a mural, an historical detail - just takes a little search…
At Bethnal Green, I went tiles hunting to collect those symbols.
The 55 Broadway were the HQ of Underground Electric Railways Company of London. The others are not, as I first thought, linked to the coat of arms of the many boroughs of London (which are worth a look, though!). Any tips? Let me know…
Have a closer look to the very last one, the Parliament. under the two crowns, doesn’t this look like a bowl hat?
A few more anecdotes…
– Art works…
– A few words from the past…
– Charing Cross’ story…
– Fireworks of colours at Tottenham Court Rd…
– London is a jungle…
– Elementary, my dear tourist!
