Look for Britain’s smallest police station @ Trafalgar Square
You must have walked past it hundreds of times…
Scotland Yard built this tower-lampost as a surveillance post in 1926. It gave an ideal 180 degrees view of the square whenever activists would manifest.
The travel guide Secret London, an unusual guide actually calls it a human CCTV! You cna picture a lonely bobby in there, drinking his mug of tea an suppressing a yawn…
Nowadays it only shelters brooms and cleaning equipment.
