Take the kids to a mini-adventure @ Foyles
I love taking my daughter to book shops, when we’re just the two of us. I grab a couple of books, we race to the kid’s corner, she studies the colourful collections… She questions what I am readding, we share a story, she tells me about Paddington or Charlie and Lola or her new discovery. Sometimes we sit on the floor, our back to a shelf. Sometimes we have the luxury of a ben ch or even a sofa if the bookshop has thought of families. n(Border’s quite good for that – the Bristol one even has a table with a train set!)
My favourite in London is Foyle’s @ Charing Cross. In the children’s side hides a mini-adventure…

…piranhas, yes, real ones! So very stilol, most of the time that you can pass them without noticing. Show me a little pirate that would resist this… Oh, they’re ugly, for sure, but they tell about exotic lands, legends… You’ve just earned 10 mn tranquillity and the best parent’s award for knowing the coolest place in London.

J’ai un petit garçon qui passerait des après-midi entier dans cet endroit ! J’adore les librairies… Je n’y vois pas le temps passer. Tristan est comme moi. C’est plus difficile pour le papa quand il vient avec nous…
