Keira Rathbone and her black and white magic
Think you’ve seen it all in matter of art? Contemporary, classical, street art, shocking, moving, fun even?
Think again. Artists always find a new way to amaze you.
Strolling through Selfridge’s, I found a new gem in their wonder room. Keira Rathbone created her magic with the music her vintage typewriter. Her hands dance around, clic, clic, clic, a mesmerising sound, glossy ref varnish on white lacker, a rock’n'roll rythm, the clear sound of ink on the paper. Letters, signs come to life, add in volume, depth, unroll and paint with incredible precision and detail…
It may have taken 7 years to master this art but how skillful to charm letters this way… Follow her Facebook page to know where to see her next time!
