Meet Tom Paine. Profession? Pub cat.
TS Eliot wrote that cats were always on the wrong side of every door. When they are in, they want to be out and vice-versa.
The question varies slightly for Tom Paine. Pub cat of profession, he’d rather check whether YOU are on the right side of his counter. Feline and therefore master of the world, he will look down on you, mistrust you, refuse to move from the way – this is his territory, after all, walk around – or will completel ignore you. He probably doubts your taste in ales…
And still, his seriousness, his way of suddenly letting you carress him, his excentri collar highlighting his noble descent make him just irresistible. During the week lawyer stop here for a drink – the Court of Justice is just in front. He fits perfectly in this crowd of black and white suits – yet my bets are on him when it comes to playing cat and mouse….
