Tough Monday
Some beauty rituals we inherit from our mothers.
I remember watching mine adding a particular cream to her hair, hydrating it. The brand was (still is, 40 years of success) Phyto. I used to steal it from her - it made me feel like a grown-up. I can still remember the perfume of it, the soft carress down to the tips, how tempting it was to do it all over again, it felt like something a glamourous movie actress would have done. Later, when I would come back from uni for the holidays, my mum would always tell me to take the tube with me. It was her way to prtect me somehow, stay with me differently when I was to step back into the unknown. I look at my daugter, growing up fast an copying me and understand those details so much better now.
And so the brand stayed into my life. I love their packaging, always a touch of blue, a mix of design and praticity – they kind are reassuring, professional so more on the treatment side than just superficial beauty. I keep bringing them back on the Eurostar from Paris - I was convinced you could not find them in London. They do exist, though, at so many chemists’ and even in a number of Boots (such as the Westfield one. Alternatively, order them on line).
Simple joys are the best - I celebrated with a new ally in the range, Phytokératine. I go from overheated to air-conditioned offices, walk through drizzle and sunshine, let alone the daily dose of urban pollution. You can imagine how damaging this is to the hair. This products, being rich in palm oil/keratin/silk protein not only soothes it but fills any gap. It only takes a few seconds, leaves no oily film on your hands and the effect is immediate. Shiny and repaired. The brand worked hard at making it as natural as possible and no, it does not put extra weight. Even better, the serum fits onto your handbag. Ideal if like me, you are always on the go, and need quick and easy solutions that are more treatment than cheat fixes. Try it and feel the difference!

The Keratin range counts this serum (£18.76) but also a shampoo and conditioner.
