Last summer, I had realised a childhood dream. You know – sleeping in a tree. Near Bordeaux, two wooden houses in the oaks. In the bamboos around, crickets play hide and seek. Above in the branches, squirrels collect nuts and happily hop around. This time our little 8 year-old princess came along for the adventure. Nanie and Christian, who have created a magical universe there, have thought Eglantine with two levels. The first one is for the parents – sweet, romantic notes, embroidered curtains, a cute corner to enjoy coffee and tea. Below is the kids’ room, colourful duvet, books to make your dream, windows shaped as a hedgehog and mushroom, full view on the green landscape. Oh, the amazement! And what a pleasure to enjoy meals on the terrace, looking at the sun set on the forest or the morning fog disappear while pulling up the breakfast basket. And the so soothing peacefulness that makes you sigh “La vie est belle”. Their Facebook page is in French, but do follow it but glimpses of life up in the trees. Puts sunshine in your day, I swear.
