In the Christmas wishlist, I’m adding the Superdry Bento Beauty box. I was already in love with the brand’s Japanese design and they have kept it for this beauty essentials selection. With a touch of humour – sushi style! A super-cheerful box, made of recycled cardboard (one of their signatures, I love that feeling on their lipstick base), a diagonal pattern, very tactile. And so, what’s inside? Well for £25, quite a lot of treats, really. One of their fab nail varnishes and trust me they catch the light beautifully, dry super fast (no pun intended) and last 5 days without flaking. A fascinating mascara, rich in keratin to separate, lengthen and protect. A couple of my favourites too, remember the pearl highlighter? It makes you look radiant no matter what kind of day you’re having. And the watermelon lip fix, always in my purse – really softens and repairs, never sticky, a taste of summer. The eyeliner was a discover – very easy to handle, looks thick but the perfect texture, not too liquid, easy to make a wide or very fine line (Please could you do it in silver? Sparkly green? Copper?). And bonuses – neon file and mirror (you can never have too many of these it seems. One per handbag!)
For you, if you already know the brand. Great price compared to buying each product separately.
For a friend, nice selection to discover the range. Let alone a super cute design! The price is excellent based on the content – rarely the case in Christmas boxes, usually mostly… empty. This one is, I repeat, a very good deal and will make a good impact as a present.
Bento Beauty Box, on sale at the end of October.
