Earlier this week, I joined a Penguin Books evening with Ruby Wax, presenting her new book: How to be human, written with a monk and a neuroscientist. The idea? Trying to undestand, coming from different angles, the search for happiness is so difficult. How does our brain work? What can we do to influence the chemical side of thing by changing our routine?
It was mind wowing – no pun intended. Makes you suddenly realise you are stuck in so many loops. That we are, naturally, drawn to the negative side of things: simply because it leaves a bigger impression on memories…
There are ways to counter this, one being to slow down, take time to analyse our feelings, listening to our body. Breathe. Find positive thoughts. When I saw Soul Talk Yoga‘s next session theme, I was thrilled: When life gives you lemons, throw them back & ask for chocolate. I couldn’t help but smile. It was like a big sign saying “This way!”. I finally knew where to start. A workout to soothe both body and mind. The perfect definition of wellbeing.
How does it work? Simple. 1 hour vinyasa yoga (and like me, you can be a complete beginner) followed by indulgent conversation, to share out life experience, build confidence, get and give support. Oh, and indulgent organic snacks – including chocolate, of course! What better way to start the weekend fully balanced… The groups are limited to 15 so book early >> See you there, guys 🙂
