Gin. Love gin.
You can never not be in a mood for a G&T or a martini… Bars, pubs present the bottles proudly on their shelves, little trophies, each sporting its own blend of botanicals. Silent Pool stands out easily with its turquoise blue bottle, adorned with golden flowers: a reference to the spring-fed lake at the foot of the North Downs where the distillery is based. Think Bosnian Juniper berries, liquorice root, cassia bark, orris, and bergamot, bruised and macerated in the base. Follows a more gentle infusion of fresh orange and lime peel, dried pears, Macedonian Juniper and Polish Angelica. And for a romantic, poetic final, rose petals, kaffir lime leaves, linden and elderflower… No wonder Eurostar asked the brand to design a special recipe for their business lounge!
Gin is indeed, quite an immersive experience, sharpening your senses. In that spirit (no pun intended), Silent Pool has partnered with Cambridge Audio, one of the UK’s leading audio specialists, to explore the unique relationship between sound and taste. For one night only, Cambridge Audio will open its doors to consumers for an experiential evening of enchanting cocktails and music. Guests will sip on complimentary Silent Pool Gin cocktails whilst Professor Barry Smith showcases a series of experiences. The idea? Explaining how flavour can be altered by different sensory environments…
Interested? The event will take place December 5, 2018 (18.30-22.00)
